The Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2009 is a more recently introduced bill to try to extend federal recognition to six Indian tribes in Virginia (the Chickahominy Tribe, the Chickahomin Tribe Eastern Division, the Upper Mattaponi Tribe, the Rappahannock Tribe, the Nansemond Tribe, and the Monacan Indian Nation).
